Kierkegaard Between the Shelves

At a Danish public library, Veronica Hodges staged a performance-cycle drawing on the text body of the existentialist philosopher Søren Kierkegaard. A classic singer and an actor performed bits of Kierkegaard’s texts between the shelves of the library, leading the spectators through scenography and scenes relating to the philosopher’s concepts regarding existential emptiness, angst and the imperative of love.
